| It hit me this AM as I was working with old transactions in Money that one cause of the balance snafu could be changing already reconciled transactions. The change won't show up the next time you go to balance your account, but you will have balance that no longer matches with the previous month's ending balance. Thanks for the feedback - K's solution seems reasonable to try. | The month that you notice the "change" add an account adjustment of 207 and reconcile it. That will fix your problem. Cindy |

| I have the same problem. It seems to me what matters is the "balance this period" and not the previous balance, but it seems once money does not like the starting balance, it keeps messing up month after month, even if you enter the correct data in subsequent months. Not sure where the original error was but I have no clue on how to fix it! | My wife balanced the checking account last month - all went well. When we went to balance it again this month, the beginning balance offered by Money was high by $207. We decided to enter the correct information this time, and not have Money do anything with the $207 difference. We know that the entered transactions are all correct and no transactions are missing. Can anyone tell me what the best way is to get Money back in line with the paper statement? |
