First, let me say the same thing is going on on the MSN site and within Money. As for your experience vs mine, you may be waiting longer to download the prices. I try at about 5:05 pm CDT. Before Oct 21, there were several days where, in the hour between 5 and 6 PM, the price was updated but not the date. A few minutes later, I would update the prices again, and eventually both would be updated, usually by 7 PM CDT. On Oct 21, the dates didn't correct until the morning of Oct 22. I reported the problem to MS on Oct 22 (see my previous post about that experience). As everybody has noted, things deteriorated on 10/26. On MSN, the date for my Vanguard Funds said 10/26 until Sun, Oct 30, even though it was displaying prices for 10/27 and then 10/28. As of 10/30, the date for my American Funds STILL says 10/26. I see another strange thing going on here: On 10/26, I changed Money to NOT automatically download quotes. The last time I updated quotes (by forcing an update from the menu) was 10/26. On 10/29, I used UltraSoft's Money Link to retrieve prices from the Money File. It shows me the *correct prices* and *dates* for all dates between 10/21 and 10/28, for all of my 13 mutual funds! This is in spite of the fact that I turned off automatic downloading on 10/26. Weird! |

| Oops, I meant 17.79 vs. the correct quote of 17.80. | My problem only started on 10/26, and the quotes for mutual funds have not been able to update since then (the quotes for regular stocks update just fine). For example, at close of business on 10/26 Fidelity Balanced Fund was at 10.79. That price will not update even though the correct price as of close of business on 10/28 was 10.80. | The problem I see has been going on for more than a week, and also happened once or twice earlier in October: the prices are current but the date is incorrect. I reported this on 10/22 via web chat. The experience was VERY disappointing. I was told that they couldn't fix the problem -- it was the quote supplier, and they didn't even have a way to report that there was something wrong! What a system! The QA people telephone yesterday for me to rate that TS experience. I essentially gave them an F. | I just sent an e-mail to MS Money Support to make sure they are aware of the problem, but I think that as many others as possible should do the same. Otherwise, they are likely to respond to me that the problem is on my end, not on their end. So, please, everyone who is having problems downloading mutual fund quotes, please contact MS Money Support and let them know there is some kind of server problem. Thanks! | Same for me. Stock quotes update fine, but the mutual fund quotes do not. Must be a server problem, but who knows? | Yep. Same problem in LA. No use trying to troubleshoot it. It must be on 'their' end, somewhere in cyberland. | Now getting an error from the Money quotes server - so perhaps someone there is aware and " working on it". | I am having a similar problem, but in my case the fund prices are downloaded properly but the new price is applied to 10/26/2005. It did that yesterday and then today. Because Money keeps updating the price on this day and that is the latest price, the current value is OK but you don't get to see today's changes. | I am having the same problem while running Money 2004. Stocks update just fine but the mutual fund quotes have not updated for two days. I went to another source, wrote down the needed mutual fund closing prices then manually updated Money 2004. I suspect that perhaps there is a problem with Standard & Poor's Comstock pricing service but have no idea how to address it.
