| 14.0.120.1105 Everything else on the stick works fine and the backup files were not on the stick but on the root HDD. It has repeated also, ie I restored an older backup file, caught up everything and then after closing the file down and opening it again it started closing at home page on loading again. Very weird... "Bob Peel MVP" wrote: - quote - > I wonder if the USB stick is somehow damaged by the power loss? | Yesterday while exiting Microsoft Money 2005 on a Windows 2000 Pro machine, I experienced a power failure while the file was being saved off to a USB 2.0 drive where it normally resides. As the power wasn't coming immediately back on, I pulled the drive and went home. At home I tried to boot Money on a Windows XP Home machine and Money would launch the file, get to the first splash screen and hang. I then assummed the file to be corrupted and restored a backup from the same USB drive. It starts the restore process but as soon as the normal Home Page is reached, it either hangs or the program closes itself. I went to my offline backup and restored that which worked ok. After saving that file off to my USB drive, upon the next attempt to open it it did the same thing ie: launches and immediately closes itself. Help! I am a Money addict, I need access. Any ideas? PS Both machines have the current version of Money 2005 |
