Glad you got there!

Now perhaps you can help me find my Autoroute 2005 CD which I need after a
rebuild. It has got to be in my study - somewhere!!!!

Thanks Bob. I was able to get it installed...total mistake on my memory's
part.

What happened was that I had bought a new PC for my home office earlier this
year, and it was packaged with Money 2004. Since I didn't want it on my new
PC, I decided to just use that CD to update my Money 1999 on my personal
computer. I couldn't find the CD after multiple attempts, so I thought I
must've bought the upgrade on-line...but I found the CD yesterday.

MS doesn't do upgrades. It supplies complete versions so you just need to
install M2004 on your new PC from the CD which is a full version.

The letters OEM mean that the PC maker has bought the software from MS at a
very cheap cost on the grounds that the PC maker guarantees to do the
support. Nuff said!

Default moving an upgrade over

I bought MS Money 99 in a store several years ago, and bought the upgrade to
Money 2004 this year online. Then I decided to get a new computer, and I
wanted to put Money 2004 on the new computer before deleting it from the old
one. I was able to install Money 99 from the CD, but I can't figure out how
to upgrade the software on the new machine. Any suggestions? For some
reason MS support says that free support isn't available, even though I
purchased the upgrade this year; I think this is because the Product ID has
the letters "OEM" in it (I can't figure out why...)
