May well be right. Each of non-reinvestment transactions entered
into the investment transactions should also result in a transaction
in the cash transactions register.

When I download my transactions, all the different earning are automatically
added to cash transactions as payment on the cash side and a buy on the
transaction side. So I think this is right. Right?

TIA

Dividends should be recorded in the Investment Transactions
register.

Capital gains distributions by mutual funds should be recorded in
the Investment Transactions register. They might be entered as one
of the *-term Cap Gains Dist transactions, or recorded as a Reinvest
*-term CG Dist transactions.

Capital gains from selling stocks or mutual funds should be recorded
by putting Sell transactions in the Investment Transactions
register.

Earnings.... well, that depends. Earnings on what? Maybe as deposits
in the Cash Transactions register, but maybe as Interest in the
Investment Transactions register.

Default Dividend, capital gains-payment or deposit

Should my dividends, capital gains, & earnings allocated be recorded as a
payment or deposit in the cash transactions of my Investments accounts?

TIA
