If you were traveling to Australia, you could buy an International> 2005. I liked it and I decided to purchase the full version. English version. Otherwise, if you were to install the international English trial again on a computer, you could do QIF export from each account of myMoney1.mny. Then File-> Import the QIF files --all at once-- into any version. If you want to do the QIF export/import, I would follow the steps in http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;178830 except in the first step 4, I would suggest this: start the name of the QIF file for the investment accounts with an underscore (_), and start the name of QIF files for the cash accounts associated with the investments with a letter. Thus you might have _BrownInvestment.qif and BrownInvestmentCash.qif. This would cause the investment account to be processed prior to the associated cash account. When the BrownInvestment got created, you would specify that you want to track the cash transactions. Then specify that the cash transactions account for BrownInvestment was where the BrownInvestmentCash.qif transactions get sent. Then File-> Import-> RecoverAccounts the files ALL AT ONCE using Ctrl+<click> to select files. Of course you will use a different filename for the new file, and you will have both versions to choose from when done. I would also set up the backups to make sure they are using different names. |

| You won't be able to use the data file. There was (and this is a bit late now), a French trial version too. To convert, you'll need to export all of your accounts as QIF and then import them into a new file created by your retail copy. However, you will need to manually recreate bills and deposits, planner information, your budget etc. http://money.mvps.org/faq/article/28.aspx -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org/ Check http://money.mvps.org/faq/ for tips and fixes for MS Money. | 3 months ago I downloaded as free trial the International Version of Money 2005. I liked it and I decided to purchase the full version. A reply to an email query to MS made it clear that it was not possible to download the full version and that I would have problems purchasing the box version (international/english) at a local retailer. I live in France at the moment and decided to purchase Money 2005 in French (only available version here). I assumed that I can use the data file myMoney1.mny from the trial version. When I want to open the file in Money I get an Error Message stating that the versions are not compatible. Can you please advise whether there is a fix? I would loose an important amount of data. |
