Start-> Search for "*.mny,*.mbf" on the old drive. That should get Money files, and backup files. Copy them all off to the new hard drive and also to USB flash drives. Install Money on the new drive. Put the newest .mny file into your My Documents folder, and open that file. If there is a problem, move on to your next newest, and try again. Also review your backup strategy for the future. |

My business computer suffered a catastrophic hard disk failure over the weekend and I'm trying to salvage what important files I can from it before installing the replacement. I'd really like to save my Money files, since all my invoices for the last year of business are in there, but I'm not sure which specific file(s) I need to rescue. |
