| Actually I have 2 accounts at the bank which previously didn't have update and 1 at the other bank that always had update. The later account updates fine, still. The accounts from the 2 account bank both show up as new accounts, not matching up in spite of identical account numbers and bank ids. I will try your idea later. Thanks. Make a copy of your file, just in case. Then do the MergeDuplicateAccounts. The loss of older transactions I think may be from the newer version, rather than the historic actual account. It usually works out fine. |

| After a recent bank merger, online updates are available for my accounts. When I set it up, it does an online update and sets up new accounts with the same account numbers as the two current accounts. I wanted to merge the accounts, but it says it will delete all the history of my original account. Since I do searches etc to find information from these older transactions, I cannot use the update. Any way to merge (effectively) and keep both the old transactions and online update feature. |
