| It is in the specific account, not global and provides the symbol to lookup. Go to the account register from the account list, then select Change account settings. It is part of the account information. | Thanks, but can you be more specific? I don't see any account abbreviation entry under Account Settings (Global) in Money 2006. Nothing under "Account abbreviation" in help either. And what does it do? | This must be a bug in Money 2006. I turned off online updates for Bank COnnection 2, then turned it back on. I deleted the closed accounts that I did not want to track, namely 2a and 2b from below (as they were being tracked from connection #1.) I turned on online updates for Connection 2. I was very careful to say "Don't track this account in Money" for a and b. It created them anyway and downloaded transactions to them!! I was very careful to sa. | Actually, upon closer inspection it's from my bank. It is downloading transactions from a second account connection to my bank. It looks like this: Bank connection 1: a- Husband Wife Checking b -Husband Wife Credit Card Bank Connection 2: a-Husband Wife Checking b-Husband Wife Credit Card c-WIfe only CHecking account I am pretty sure I set it up so on connection 1, it downloads transactions for a dn b, and on connection 2, download c only. But it downloads a and b on connection 2. They are both closed accounts, but the transactions roll up and I have to manually delete them or else the reports page says I have transactions with no categories (and of course those expenses, deposits etc. are coming in twice.) If I try to delete connection 2/a nd b accounts, it says it will have to delete account c only. How do I get ride of 2a and 2b? thanks "Cal Learner" <NoMailTnx[at]please.com> wrote in message news:6ahfk1pl988ev8v0im3parhk60nc4gul2g[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Don Awalt wrote: > > I have one account where I download information on multiple mutual funds, > > in > > Money 2006. > > > I want to stop downloading one of the funds, I know I can stop online > > services to that account, set up online again with that account, and just > > pick the funds I want to see. | I have one account where I download information on multiple mutual funds, in Money 2006. I want to stop downloading one of the funds, I know I can stop online services to that account, set up online again with that account, and just pick the funds I want to see. Is there a way to turn off the download of that one fund without doing this? Thanks |
