| Try creating the transaction with the new payee name, and then rename the Mobil oil payee to this new payee. Run a repair on the file and then try and rename the new payee to 'Mobil oil' again. Take a backup before trying this though. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://money.mvps.org/faq/default.aspx for tips and fixes for MS Money. | Wow, that is just about the oddest glitch I ever heard of. I have no idea what it could be but I would delete the offending transaction, then delete the Mobil Oil payee in the master list of Payees, then close Money, reboot the computer, start Money and try entering the transaction again manually. What happens if you spell it Mobile Oil instead of Mobil Oil? | Hello, I have been a loyal Microsoft Money user starting with Money 99 through Money 2006. Recently, I purchased gasoline from Mobil Oil. Every time I try to manually add the transaction, I receive the following error: We're sorry, but Microsoft Money has experienced an internal error and will have to restart. I can add the transaction if I use Shell Oil as Payee. When I go back to edit the transaction to change the Payee to Mobil Oil, I receive the same error I listed above. I have run the Level-1 and the Level-2 rapairs and neither helped the situation. What do you suggest? |
