| I went through all of these suggestions without any luck. I ended up reconverting from my original Money 2004 file... I now see the "Sign in screen" that was repeatedly referenced, and it seems to be working ok. The only downside is I lost all the customization / online account setup / transactions I had entered in the past day. Oh well... Thanks! | This likely means that Money is not able to detect your internert connection. This may be due to firewall or other internet security software/settings that is blocking Money from accessing. | Did the QuickRepair, no luck. Made a backup copy of My Money and did the StandardRepair, still no luck. I picked up the full version from the store last night, so I'll install to see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for your help. If it were not the trial, I would suggest you contact Microsoft for> showing. I went into the "Customize Toolbar" but didn't se the option to add > that particular button. help on that. Try the File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair. It is safe and easy. If that does not fix things, I would disconnect the computer from the Internet. Then start Money, and see if you get the sign-in screen with the work-offline selection. Perhaps that will get things working when you later start while connected to the internet. Otherwise I would make an extra copy of the file, and try File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair |

| I don't see any "Go Online" button there. There are only a few buttons showing. I went into the "Customize Toolbar" but didn't se the option to add that particular button. | I installed the trial version yesterday. Set up my Passport account and the online services for most of my accounts. I was able to connect to my accounts and download updates just fine. Today I open up Money and try to download updates and it tells me that "account updates are unavailable because you are signed into Money Offline. To sign in online, restart Money, and make sure the Work Offline checkbox is not selected." I've restarted Money multiple times, as well as selected My Money file from File--> Open, and I never see any screen that has a "Work Offline checkbox". I've searched all of the Settings for this checkbox with no luck. Help also indicates that to work online automatically, I should make sure the "Work offline checkbox" is cleared on the "Sign in to open your file" page. I have never seen, nor can I find this "Sign in to open your file page". What am I missing? |
