Hi Jim,

Sorry if the link didn't work. It is correct, but it's a free redirector
service. The real link is http://www.xs4all.nl/~csmale/mt2ofx/ .

You will probably need some help (from me) to program it up for your
specific layout in Excel. If you would be able to send me a sample
spreadsheet I'd be happy to take a look to see what it would take.

Regards
Colin

If this is for a business, investigate QuickBooks. Much larger, of course,
but I believe it includes an option for accountants to take a snapshot of
your account, do some accounting magic like end of month closing, then
synchronize their transactions with yours. That's not simply an import, I
don't think - it may revise existing transactions, as well.

I really don't know much about it so can't /recommend/ it, but it may be
worth analysis.

What I have is an accountant working on excel with a checkbook type or
trqacking system. I hve convinced her that MS Money is much easier and
faster, so I need to import all of the data that she has in Excel to MS
Money. It sounds like your solution will work, I am going to try it tonight.
Thanks for the help and info. Just a FYI. the link you provided didn't
work ( http://www.mt2ofx.tk ).

Thanks Dick, I read the info and it was helpful. I am hoping to try some of
these options.

Are you looking for a one-time conversion, or do you have a bank which
gives you downloads in CSV/XLS format? If it's the one-time approach you
are looking for, check out XL2QIF (I believe another poster has said
this as well). If you need something that can be help with regular
downloads, take a look at MT2OFX ( http://www.mt2ofx.tk ). I have
recently implemented a conversion from Excel to QIF/OFX so I know it's
possible. CSV is easy as well.

Colin

The Excel file must be converted into QIF. See
http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=8.

Convert to QIF is your only option. Try
