| Vadim, I doubt that a letter to Ballmer will do any good. MSFT is now using Money to support advertising and milk customers for mandatory upgrades and other fees. In my opinion the only way to get MSFT's attention is to stop buying upgrades and protest the advertising and automatic disabling of downloads. If MSFT gets away with their new policy of forcing upgrades we will only get more of the same in the future. | I had a similar issue when voided apay was still showing in forecast balance. Was resolved by disabling/reenabling onine access for the account. Speaking of so called MS Support, it's absolutely, completely incapable. Of course it's offshored, and these $3/day Indians have no knowledge about the product. They probably receive 2-3 hours of training, and then are given public web access to support.microsoft.com. I opened an incident asking how can I add new non-online-enabled credit card account in Money without Passport and Yodlee. Their response: unfortunately, you can't. It was already escalated to the next level of this scam, and the response is still the same. In the end, I will probably print out the whole incident and send to Mr. Ballmer, complete with the right answer. |

| I found my own solution, but figured I would post it here for anyone else. I setup a dummy payee, and set the bogus entries in my forecast to point to that payee. Then I went to "Set up your payees", found the items and marked them as void. Now the balance on my forecast matches my account registrar. Hope this helps someone else. | I am having a problem with Microsoft Money 2005 Deluxe, and I can't get the MS Tech Support to give me an answer. The problem is that there is an item that shows up in the forecast that does not show up in my budget or my account registry, and I can not delete it from the forecast. If I edit the item, the date and amount are grayed out. I've tried to add an item in my budget to off set it, but then it shows up in my registrar. This issue is causing my forecasted amounts to always be $1950.00 higher than my actual account, and it's very frustrating when I go to pay bills. Like I said earlier, I do not have a budget setup at all. If I click on the Budget icon, it prompts me to begin setting up a budget. Microsoft claims that I had a bill in there, that I removed, but if I removed it, then it should be gone from everything. So does anyone have a fix, or know how to edit the *.mny database directly? Thanks, Gary |
