Advice needed

Search the system for .mny, .mbf, and .mxx (where xx is one of n1, n2, n3,
n4, n5, n6, n7, n8, n9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15. Sounds like this is a back level
file or something.

A friend who uses MSMoney has asked me to help him.
When he opened his Money file recently, he found that the data in his
accounts only goes to a certain date.
All the data after that date seems to be missing.
It appears that he has never made any backups himself.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Also,I beleive that a couple of days previously, he had installed a
new printer
