| Many people couldn't understand the difference between Budget and Cash Flow. The Special Debt stuff was, apparently, Microsoft's way to help these people. There's not really any way around it. But you sound like you know what's going on--you'll just have adapt how you look at the data to the way Money portrays it. | Say I have a credit card account set-up in Money. I download transactions each month. Any additional purchases are set up to go in their proper category, and payments to the credit card are done as tranfers from my checking account. I have this cc account set up to be included in the budget planner. I also have it in my debt reduction planner. The problem I'm having is the transfers to the cc account from my checking are showing up in my budget under the heading "Special: Debt", along with things like mortgage payments and car loan payments. (This is the only place the mortgage and car loan appear in the budget). Having these transfers show up here messes up the budget. I have read dozens of posts regarding people who WANT transfers in their budget, but for me that doesn't work and I don't think Money intends it to be like that. So how can I get it to NOT show these transfers that are not expenses? |
