thanx shadowz. i am glad i visited this group before ripping out my hair.
this by far has got to be the most stupid thing that microsoft implemented
for 2006. i have not seen this stupid feature in any prior versions where you
had to click "enter" after leaving the SPLITS screen.

Enter splits and click the done button. Then when your back viewing the
single transaction you have to click the Enter/Done button again. If you
just click off the transaction or click cancel, the splits still are not
added even though you click Done from the splits screen.

Essential Register? Downloaded transaction data? Yodlee? You haven't given
us much to go on. I routinely do this in M06 Trial--in Advanced register
with all transaction data entered by hand.
