 Re: M2006 vs Envelope system? Whatever works for you is probably best. Some people seem to adamantly prefer the envelope scheme because they can better understand or visualize it. To others of us, it seems like cookie jar accounting. .. | M2006 vs Envelope system? Hello, I am thinking of upgrading to M2006, but have a question regarding how money works compared to envelope software like money matter. In a envelope system: I can create an envelope for groceries and place 300 into it. In Money I can create a category groceries and assign a budget of 300. I can see no benefit to either. If I spend 200dollars on groceries. I can run a budget report in money and see I have 100 dollars left. In an envelope report, I can see the same. Is one method better than the other?
