| That's the only work-around I could think of in Standard. You could then move all of the transactions from the old account into the new account. -Mark "Jim-G" <bogus[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:ukzcYFCwFHA.3400[at]TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... - quote - > OK will try it, Thanks Mark. > In the meantime, would it work for me in the tracking issues if I closed > that account (within Money) then created another active account starting > with the credit amount changed to current settings? | OK will try it, Thanks Mark. In the meantime, would it work for me in the tracking issues if I closed that account (within Money) then created another active account starting with the credit amount changed to current settings? Don't want to have conflicting information screw up the tracking but the new account would not have info. already entered in the first account. Jim |

| This appears to be Standard specific. I found a copy of Standard and installed it and see the same behavior you mention. You can confirm this yourself by trying the Trial version (which is Deluxe) from http://microsoft.com/money -Mark "Jim-G" <jimg35[at]email.com> wrote in message news:%23lE$Z0ivFHA.2924[at]TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... - quote - > Mark, > Account type is Credit Card > Finanacial Institution is American Express > Tracking...Individual Charges > Register Details are Advanced > Yes I see Credit Informations but am not allowed to change it. > "Mark" <abcd[at]abcd.com> wrote in message > news:eNKefHgvFHA.3764[at]TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > > What does it say for this account on the details page? |

| What does it say for this account on the details page? - Account Type (is it "Credit Card"?) - Financial Institution - Account tracking ("individual charges" on "just the amount I owe"?) - Register Details (is it Essential or Advanced?) - Below the Balance Information section do you see the Credit Information section at all? -Mark "Jim-G" <jimg35[at]email.com> wrote in message news:uHQgv8XvFHA.3152[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... - quote - > Right I'm without the button to change the 'credit' information although the > balance information can be changed. | Jim, You indicate you could, if you needed to, change the rate. I'm not able to do this unless I click on "change details" (which you say you don't have). I recall in an earlier version you could click on the displayed values and a change could be made. Its a longshot, but otherwise I'm at a loss. JB |

| Yes JB, there is such a change account settings but at the bottom of the resulting page there is no 'change details' next to the credit line. All of the approaches to this take me to the same page and shows no way to change the credit line. It appears the per centage being charged and the amount of owed or credited in dollars is able to be changed but that isn't something I'd like to do. | Jim, Not sure about any limitation related to the Standard version, but from your credit card account register, is there a selection on the left for "Change Account Settings"? If so, click on it and scroll to the bottom of the resulting page. Is there a button to the right of your credit line details to Change Details? JB Jim-G wrote: - quote - > Thanks Cal but 'no joy'. | Using the Std. Ver of 2005: MSMoney helps tells me I can go into the account and where to alter the amount of credit but it is wrong. The help said there is a button I can use to update the credit limit of the account but....it isn't there. The only time there was a chance to enter that was when the account was setup. I'm using the advanced mode. Any thoughts appreciated. Jim |
