| That is the only way I figured out how to do it. Also interested calculation on something like a home equity line. That calculates the interest on the average balance on a current day of the month. I just estmiate and put it in as a recuring charge. | All versions give you lots of ability to identify the earnings amount. None let you specify a recurring transaction amount as some function, in this case a percentage, thereof. There's always Calculator or Excel. Some Excel-like grammar to define recurring transaction amounts as a function of data already in the file has long been on many Money wish lists. The Money team hasn't seen fit to fulfill that wish. But Money 05/6 does provide you with related links, displayed on every account register page, to get a great deal on a home equity loan. | Its not in any version of Money, it's something which people have often asked for, as it's useful for calculating pension contributions etc where a set amount of salary is put aside for such a purpose. Why it's not there, well maybe not enough people have asked, or the Money team don';t want to put it in. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://money.mvps.org/faq/default.aspx for tips and fixes for MS Money. | I know I'm using a very old version but a brief search seems to suggest that the situation has not changed much since from 2001 so I'll still ask this question. Why does Microsoft Money not have a built in way of calculating tithe? I'm sure I'm not the only person left in the world that still believes that the first 10% of earnings should be given away (to God or whoever you believe it should go to). Is there a good way of calculating this in Money? All I want is an option that you can select which will total the total net income each month and calculate 10% of this value. Is this likely to be included in a new edition of Money, if so I'd consider upgrading? |
