Thanks. It isn't a huge deal and I am not going to mess with it any
further. It would be nice, but I guess the main thing is there is
nothing wrong with my data or the way I set up the HELOC.

Another observation: dunno why, but when you associate an asset with a
liability, Money changes the bank for the asset to the bank for the
liability. In my case it changed the bank for my house(?) to AmSouth, where
I recently opened a HELOC.

You can just delete the bank name from the asset, if you want. I did.

First of all, a HELOC is associated with a car only indirectly. I believe
the purpose of the asset-loan links in Money is for the Lifetime Planner,
where sale of an asset implies payoff of the loan.

A credit card is the only account type that Money creates for a HELOC. But
if you go to the asset and look at the account settings page, you can
associate the credit account with the asset. You may find that it already
is.

Default Can't associate a home equity line with a car

Just purchased a used car on an home equity line. It is the only debt
on the line. I am unable to associate the HEL with the car. Money is
only showing me the credit card accounts. Oddly enough, even though I
went through the Home Equity Line setup when I set up the line a few
years ago, it shows as "Credit Card" as the type.

Is it only possible to associate real credit cards with assets?

Money 2005 Premium.
