| Excerpted from readme; this should apply in Darion's case... 1. Run Money on your desktop PC. Create an empty file by selecting "New File..." from the File menu. Name the file "FromPocketPC." DO NOT enter ANY information into this file. This file will be used to store the information from your Pocket PC. Exit Money. 2. Connect your Pocket PC to your desktop PC and synchronize. The information stored on your Pocket PC will be sent to your desktop PC and entered into the "FromPocketPC" file. 3. Once synchronization is complete, open Money on your desktop PC. The "FromPocketPC" file should now contain all of the information from your Pocket PC. Michael Gordon, MVP wrote: - quote - > Find the readme for the PPC client. | Find the readme for the PPC client. I believe it has instructions there which would apply in this situation. -- Michael Gordon MVP "Darion Mapp" <godd[at]caribsurf.com> wrote in message news:eVGDxcwtFHA.3424[at]tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... - quote - > Here is a nice one for all you MVPs out there. | Here is a nice one for all you MVPs out there. Money file on PC damaged. Can't find my backup CD. About two years of data in there. Pocket PC has all the data. Cannot sync because file damaged. Create new file and sync, ask to break link said ok and still will not sync data. Can I get this data out from the Pocket PC and into a file somewhere in any readable format? If I upgrade both machines will it magically sync after that (hoping that some MS programmer saw this coming and decided to spend a weekend working on this). Darion |
