| Just a quick note to say thanks. I managed to finally fix my laptop/internet issues, downloaded the update and everything is working perfectly. Your advice was very much appreciated. Thanks again. | Unfortunately, Microsoft long ago stopped making it possible to update a copy of Money any other way. | Thanks for this. Unfortunately I'm also having issues connecting the laptop to the internet (if it's not one thing...!) Do you know if there's anyway I can do the update without connecting the laptop to the internet? | Certainly true for the UK version - so I guess it is one of the bits of core code that doesn't get regionalised. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. For wishes or suggestions see http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp or for UK wishes http://www.microsoft.com/uk/support/money/feedback I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. | You need to open the sample file on both machines and then do an Internet Update on both machines until Help|About shows version 14.*.*.1105. Then open the file on one machine and, if Money asks, let it upgrade the file. Then you should be able to open it on the other machine as well. I say this noting that you are from Australia. This applies to the US version, but I'm less certain of the international version or UK if that's what you are using. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=177 for why this must be done. | I have used Money since 1998 upgrading throughout various versions over the years. I recently purchased Money2005, installed on the desktop, and the "current" file upgraded fine. I then installed Money2005 on my laptop saved my "current" file to my flashdisk and tried to open on the laptop. It takes me straight to the "About upgrading your money file" screen and I can't get any further. The sample file opens okay. Any ideas? |
