With that said, I have never taken an upgrade path, because I just started using Money 2006 over a month ago and never used Money before that. Since I have no knowledge what so ever with Money 99. You could try exporting your data to a file if that's possible. Then using a trial version of money to import your file and see what happens. This way you don't have to go out and buy XP for no reason what so ever. |

| Money 2006 cannot convert a Money 98 or 99 file if you are running Money on a Windows 9x OS. It has to due with a potential security hole in the msjet35.dll (So Money 2006 no longer ships with that DLL) Options are: 1. Upgrade Windows to XP 2. Step upgrade to Money 2000 - 2005 and then Money 2006 or 3.
