Ensure that both machines have USB ports.

Read ads for sales on the USB flash drives. While 64 meg is enough,
most available today are 256 meg. They can be had for $40 any day,
and $20 on sale at times. Some come with an extension cable, and
that can be very handy for machines where the USB port is not up
front.

If the machines are XP machines, they do not need a separate
"driver". If you have a Windows 98 machine, you will need to
download a driver to that computer. Look at the packaging of your
USB drive. Expect it to list a web site for that.

Plug it in and install if necessary. It will appear to be a disk
drive visible in the My Computers folder. Copy the .mny Money file
to that USB flash drive.

Use the icon in the system tray to let you safely remove the drive.
If you do not find that readily, just shutdown the computer. Then
unplug the USB flash drive, and plug it into new computer.

The drive will appear in My computer folder, but this time it may
have a different designation. It could have been G: on one machine
and F: on the other, for example. Copy the .mny file from that flash
drive to you My Documents folder.

Then open Money by double-clicking the copied file that is now in
your My Documents folder.
