When you upgraded to Money 2006, it will have created a copy of your Money
2004 file with extension of .M12 - if you reinstall Money 2004, then just
rename this to have an extension of .MNY and doulbe click it to open in
Money 2004.

Not sure what you mean by the 'computer blocking after the conversion'. Have
you tried a repair on the Money 2006 file?
