Yes, I had this problem with Money 2004, though not with BankOne. It
appears to be a problem with Money 2004, not the bank. I got lots of
dupes of certain payees but none of others; however, like you my total
got up to 1,000, which is what alerted me to the problem. My bank
limits payees to 1,000, as I found out when I tried to create a new
payee.

After many failed suggested cures, I finally had to manually delete or
merge all the duplicate payees in the Money 2004 Payee List, while my
bank's tech support people were manually deleting the dupes at their
end.

After that, the problem started to recur -- a few new duplicates
showed up a few weeks after that arduous clean-up. After again
manually clearing the dupes and getting the bank to do it at their
end, I upgraded to Money 2006. So far the problem seems to have
dispapeared.
