Some people experience more problems with Yodlee than through direct bank
support. Others object to the requirement that their personal finance
information be stored on MSN's servers.

One take on Yodlee: http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=171.

I certainly sympathize with the agony of downloading statements from banks'
websites. But tell me, what is so terrible about account info syncing thru
Yodlee? I'm not being derisive, I'm really curious because I've been happy
with yodlee's syncing of my credit card accounts for some time, and am
wondering if I'm going to enounter drawbacks in the future.

Thanks,

Joe

In which case, my suggestion will work. It's just not as simple as reading a
list provided by Microsoft.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris. I don't really have to worry about direct
bill pay as I already have it with my current bank. I am really more
concerned with direct statements for credit cards and other bank accounts.

It's pretty easy to figure out, even without a bank account. Create a dummy
account in Money and associate with a bank in question. Configure it to use
online services. If Money starts talking about a passport, you know the bank
doesn't support Money directly.

I don't know if this will help you with direct statements versus direct bill
pay, but I think if a bank says they offer bill pay, and they do support
direct statements, I think it will also support direct bill pay.

Have you considered the possibility that Microsoft would just as soon
obscure this distinction?

Default Direct Banking List?

I've about had it with some of the banks I work with. I don't want to go to
their web site, figure out their goofy interface, download some file and
hope it works properly in Money. I only want to deal with companies that
offer direct statements in Money (both checking/savings and credit card). I
am also not interesting in getting involved with Yodlee. Does anyone know
of a list of Banks/Credit Card companies that offer direct interfacing with
Money?

Thanks for your help,
Richard

P.S. The list that Microsoft provides is annoying and tedious to use
because they list all banks online regardless of how they communicate with
Money. It sure would have helped a lot more if it were a grid that listed
what type of services they offer/don't offer.
