As noted in my prior post the same thing happened to me about 10 days ago.
Suddenly my direct downloads from Citibank no longer worked. Also I cannot
create any new accounts for any bank or credit card and enable online
services. I was able to open new accounts and my direct downloads all
worked perfectly prior to that and I have made no changes to my computer in
the meantime. I am running new hardware and XP Pro SP2.

I tried the above advice and things were worse. I disabled online services
for Citibank and then tried to re-enable it. Unfortunately my Citibank
account could not be re-enabled. Luckily I had a backup copy of my Money
file and I restored it which gave my enabled Citi account back. Then
instead of disabling the Citi account I re-enabled it by clicking Modify
Services in the Online Services Manager. Simply follow the screens as if
you were setting the account up for the first time. After that my direct
downloads are working again.

But I still cannot create any new accounts and enable online services for
them.

Don't know who is responsible for this problem now. I though it was MSFT
who disabled my direct downloads via Money Updates but now I don't know.
Since I cannot enable any new accounts for online services it still looks
like MSFT did this on purpose. If any of the MVPs know what happened I
would sure like to know. Since several people have had this same problem I
know it is not just me.

This could be dangerous advice. I disabled my Citi online services and
could not then re-enable them. Money 2002 pops up an error message saying:
"Money cannot complete a required call. Check your internet connection."
There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. This behavior began
about 10 days ago. Before that I could add new accts or enable existing
accts no problem. I believe MS has intentionally disabled direct download
for older versions. I can still manually download ofx files but direct
download is history at least for Money 2002. I am not happy and MS has gone
too far this time.

A lot of folks are seeing this with Citi -- until they get it fixed, just
disable online services with them, then enable them again.

Default Sudden Loss of Direct Statements

My citi credit card statement used to synch just pefectly with money
2003 dx on my Win XP machine. Suddenly, it stopped.

I've checked with the bank, and the account was locked because of "too
many incorrect login" attempts. After unlocking, I changed the password
and tried loging in via the web.

That works.

Using same information in money yields nothing except lockouts. I've
verified the login information several times. It just simply doesn't
seem to work from money.

(I've got 9 other direct synching accounts from this file that still
work just fine...)

Anyone ever seen anything like this?
