A alternative to continually combine accounts that I might come up with would be more convoluted than practical. |

| Cal: Having the same frustration. I noticed you answered this persons question way back in 2005. How about now? I just upgraded to 2007. Trying to set up the 401K w/American Funds, and really don't want to have to have 6 different accounts (because of the funds) for the same darn account. It's rediculous. Any changes since your original answer? can I download, then combine? Any work arounds? That is what I would do. If you want to download into a single account, you would have to change providers. If you want to get things into a single account from American Funds, you will have to convince them to change, or you will have to do some manual entry. |

| Please forgive me if this question has already been answered, but I've searched this forum and googled for an answer with no success. I have a 403(b) account with American Funds. Money in this account is spread across 6 different investments. I had to set up 6 different accounts - one for each investment - in order to get MS Money 2006 to connect to American Funds and download transactions correctly. Each of the 6 accounts in Money has the same account number, but a different fund code. Ideally, I would like to have ONE account in Money that contains 6 different investments. That way, I can see the account balance at a glance. That is how I had it set up originally, but then I was unable to connect to American Funds to download transaction information. Is there a solution to this that allows me to have all 6 investments contained in a single account (just as they are in reality) and still maintain my ability to download transaction information from American Funds, or must I maintain 6 different 403(b) accounts in MS Money? Does Quicken offer a better solution? Thanks. |
