I guess I'll [cautiously] give it a try. Thanks.

That is what archiving does almost. Just rename resulting files to
your taste. In archiving, the copy of the current file gets a new
name with the word 'archive' in it. The old name is adopted by the
stripped-down file. Archiving may be made for you. The people who
are disappointed in archiving usually have a different expectation.

Default Delete entries

Discouraged from archiving by the advice received here, I would like
to examine another way to create a new file with old information. That
is:

The current file contains data from 2002 to the present.

I would like to copy the current file's data from 1/1/2005 to the
present into a new file that would become my current file (with
another name, of course).

Or, alternately, delete all data prior to 1/1/2005 from my current
file and save the remainder with a different name.

Can I do that in MoneyStandard2006? How?

Thanks.
