| Sid, When you sign into your Money file, fill in your password and choose "Work offline" then Next This works well in my particular situation. | If you would inform the MSN people of this problem and your obvious solution, maybe they would pull some strings to get it fixed. | I have the same issue, and decided it was easier to stop using MSN as my portal. -Rob "Sid Joyner" <sid_joyner[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:11g9l64pm4465bb[at]corp.supernews.com... - quote - > Carl, I see you're an MVP. | Carl, I see you're an MVP. This issue is beyond my comprehension that this has not been fixed in Money 2006. I use MSN as my home portal by signing in with my passport. And yet, because I sign in with Money 2005 - and now 2006 - I have to re-sign in everytime I go to my home portal, which is several times a day. (That's why it's my home portal.) I sucked it up and did this for a full year, always hoping this would be corrected in 2005. But now, it's Money 2006 and it's still doing it. AGGRAVATING! This is truly awful and upsetting. Here's what I'd like to know. Is this considered a bug that just doesn't merit fixing? Or is it by design that Microsoft signs you out of MSN when signing in with Money and the implementation will not be changed? What is an official answer from Microsoft as to this issue? I'd like to know becasue I'm tired of waiting for a fix if it's never coming. This issue has been posted on this newsgroup for over a year now. I posted one of them last October myself. Workarounds such as the one you proposed are insufficient answers to this question - although I respect and applaud you for offering them up. (I expect to be able to use the passport features in Money and automatically download my financial data - this is one of the main features of having Money.) It's especially outrageous that this involves all Microsoft tehnologies and that it used to work before the 2005 debacle (not to mention other things like correctly integrated MSN BillPay that stopped working properly in 2005). Sorry about the rant, but being a long time satisfied Money user and going through the 2005 disaster - and that's what that product was for me - and seeing so far no improvement on issues such as this one in 2006 is very discouraging. If you have any official information from Microsoft about this issue, it would be appreciated. |
