Default RE: money 2006 update problem

I have experienced the same problem using the Active Statement download with
Bank of America. While the work-arounds are ok for a temporary fix I would
hope the root-cause could be identified and addressed. 1) Does anyone know
how to report this problem to Microsoft for a possible bug fix? 2) Have any
of you experienced this problem with banks other than BOA?

Thanks.
Derek

This changes the Adj. balance and it starts differing from the bank balance. I go to accout settings and manually set the opening balance to the correct value. This fixes all the balances till the next update.

I don't remember that being posted by another person. Are you using
Essential or Advanced register? (see upper-right of register.) I
would go to Advanced myself.

I wonder if an initial opening balance record is being downloaded
from your financial institution (FI) each time. If that were the
case, you could work around it by adding a single compensating
deposit/withdrawal transaction that predates the other transactions.

You should be able to go into Account settings for that account and change
the initial balance to the proper amount to make everything balance. Note if
you do not have complete transaction history in the account it won't be
zero...

Default money 2006 update problem

Hello,

I used money 2005 and recently upgraded to 2006. Now every time I update accounts with my bank Money changes the opening balance on the accounts. This changes the Adj. balance and it starts differing from the bank balance. I go to accout settings and manually set the opening balance to the correct value. This fixes all the balances till the next update.

Does anyone know how to deal with this problem?

Thanks,
Alexei
