| Again, thank you for your response. Resetting the report's parameters did the trick. Now I am getting useful information out of the report. Thank you again! | Got me. If you look in the registers, what do you see? If you reset the report customizations to the defaults, what do you see? What about other reports? If you set the report to all dates, what do you find? Has the clock on your system been wrong for six months so maybe you are recording them in the wrong year? I'm kinda clutching at straws given I can't look over your shoulder. You may need to see http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=104. I'm also wondering about the voodoo items. | Hello Dick, Thank you for your response. I've tried doing what you're said (specifying the sub-categories, instead of just leaving them blank) and it is not working! Then I decided to click on the Select All button to select every category and sub-category, over the last 6 months. You know what? It said I have $0.00 of expenses and $0.00 of income. What's going on here? I must certainly have written checks and entered them in MS Money, and I have been paid and entered that into MS Money. So, why is this software giving me completely meaningless data??? | Check more customization settings. They work fine here. BTW, if you want Food:Groceries and Food ining out, checking just Food and Showsubcategories will not work. | I want to view a report on a category which interests me. I have been wanted to see how our spending on this category is going. So I get into the Reports menu, customize it and then view the results. So, I get into the Reports area, customize it giving the category I want and selecting "Show subcategories" and then I click on the button to see results. All that is there is a table with "Category", "Total" and "Grand Total" with absolutely no data at all for a 6 month period of time (which I choose as a part of the customization). What good is a worthless report like that? Why isn't it giving me any data at all in the report when I KNOW there is data, a LOT OF IT to report? Rod |
