If you have broadband, I suggest that you copy your Money file tocompitus06.mny. Then download the trial, and tell Money 2006 to not uninstall the old version. Have the trial convert compitus06.mny. Run both for a while-- one at a time. Keep both up to date. Customize your Portfolio to your preferences. See which works best for you after a while. However note that versions after Money 2002 in the US, Money will deactivate downloads and statement files from your banks. Money 2006 will commit you to upgrading every two years unless you want to enter transactions and prices by hand. - quote - > Also I don,t have CD writer-You think I can fit back up file from 2006 on a
It can be done, but if you have a USB port, USB drives are cheap and> floppy? reliable. Watch for sales. 64K are big enough for most to have a few backups. 128 K units often sell for $20 on sale. I see one in an ad today for $15 with no rebate. If you don't have a USB port, you have been denying yourself a new computer for too long. And a new monitor too. Money 2006 seems to assume you have a bigger monitor. - quote - > Thank You > "Steve" <sjcohen730[at]aol.com> wrote in message > news:1123684402.138450.79410[at]g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > > My advice is to buy Money 2006 for about $25 and go from there. | Thank You for reply. As I have old Pentium II I am worry about performance. Also I don,t have CD writer-You think I can fit back up file from 2006 on a floppy? | My advice is to buy Money 2006 for about $25 and go from there. It is really stupid to look for an older edition of the program. Don't download. Buy the store copy with the CD. Also, don't expect the so called "automatic downloads" to work in all cases. Use your own brain and enter things manually if the download doesn't work. Good luck. Steve |

| Hi all. using now 2002-can pay bills, download transactions and so on. Considering upgrading to 2003, or 2004-switch from one bank to other and they require newer then 02. Saw warning that 2005 will expire online services in 2007 and (I guess) force You to get new version. Will 2003 and 2004 stop working online soon, even 2002 is still working fine? Another thing is, how big are back up files on 2003, 4,5? Now on 2002 I got about 800 kb. Thank You for any advice |
