| I called and got a totally different answer! I was given the email address of a developer, who took my emailed file and fixed it. After compairing the two it looks like he removed 7 lines of info from the bottom of the import file. So since then I have been doing it manually and it has worked for me every time. They told me that it was going to be fixed in the next couple days. However its been a week and the problem persists. The lines he removed are from the very end of the file (but leave the very last line "</OFX> " there): </BANKTRANLIST<LEDGERBAL<BALAMT> 3320.31 <DTASOF> 20030820120000 </LEDGERBAL</STMTRS</STMTTRNRS</BANKMSGSRSV1 It seems as if this info was repeated twice in the stmt.ofx file (you will see the exact same data above it) To perform this fix, instead of choosing "Open" when you download the file choose save, then open it with Notepad (this will keep it from getting formatted imporperly), then remove the last occurance of the above lines, then save it over the original file and double click it and all should be great. If you aren't a do it yourself kinda person try calling the online help of bofa, and tell them you know there was an issue and that you have been told it would be fixed soon, and that you should be able to email and engineer to fix your files as necessary. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Hi all... > I used to d/l my transactions from BofA using the money option. | Money is not going to download more statement than your bank is providing for download. I'm not sure what kind of statement downloads B of A offers, but some provide you an option to choose a date range. If you are able to successfully import a statement, nothing inside of Money (or reinstalling, etc.) is going to change your results. What kind of file was the orginal one that was giving you the corrupt error? If you can save the file and view in notepad, you may be able to find the problem. Or you could change the account number information (and anything else you wouldn't want us to see) and post part of the file here and we'll see if we can find a problem. At least then you can go back to them and tell them that if you change a certain part of the file, it imports fine. | Hi all... I used to d/l my transactions from BofA using the money option. Las week I started to get an error that the file was corrupt. I called BofA and they told me that they did nothing (yet their web site looks different). They told me to try the 4 digit something option. It worked but I got the complete statement. I don't want to get the whole thing everytime and I don't want to write down the date to get a partial statement next time. I tried to reinstall money but no luck. Is the problem with my puter or their system ? This is so much fun . BofA blames my Money (2003) and Money blames them ... fun, fun, fun ! Thanks |
