Default Re: E-mail from Bank One I received today

I could switch, but I use the credit cards that give me the most cash back.
For instance, AT&T Universal Card, Citi Card and my new Chase card all give
me 5% back on gas, groceries and drugstore purchases. However, I have maxed
out my limit of $300.00 per card for all but my Chase card. Well, if Chase
stops downloading transactions, I still want to continue using this card, but
will have to download from the website.

And I know this is a pain, because I am currently doing that on a Bank of
America website for my Choice Privilges Card. I use this card to pay bills
and make other purchases for about 2% back in rewards (I am building up a
supply of free hotel nights--we like to travel). I also use Discover Card for
5% back on gas right now, and they download great. At the rate I am getting
cash back, I will earn over a $1000 this year.

So it is pretty frustrating to WANT to use a certain card and have to go to
the website daily for downloads. Otherwise, I would DEFINATLEY switch banks
and I would let them know about it.

It's easy enough to switch to a bank that offers direct downloads. Most
banks' customer service really doesn't know whether or not they support
"direct downloads." I have about 20 emails from CapitalOne discussing this.
They are really clueless. But out of the blue CapitalOne's direct download
started working. I'm not sure how reliable it is.

If Chase contacts you back, I'd like to know what their response is.

There are several websites they maintain. I currently go in under
cardmembersesrvices which changes to online.firstusa.com to download. The
new website is Chase.com. And there is a BankOne site that I CAN'T login to.
That must be the banking portion of Bankone. I kind of wondered about that
one, but it would make sense of that it is for Banking.

Lori,

Their response was only in reference to www.cardmemberservices.com
which is "credit cards only" part of Bank One. bankone.com not only
handles bank accounts but the credit cards as well including direct
download. I currently have an inquiry open with Chase about what will
happen to bankone.com. As part of the recent merger, I can now see my
Chase accounts on bankone.com and vice versa! As this is the case I
would prefer they keep the functionality of bankone.com (whatever they
want to call it) and scrap what is currently chase.com.

Not sure what's going to happen. Not expecting much info if Chase
decides to answer my inquiry. As usual, we'll find out the real deal
in their own good time.

Regards,
JB

Default E-mail from Bank One I received today

Below is an e-mail that Bank One (ie FirstUSA) e-mailed me today when I
questioned what would happen to MS Money direct downloads as they merged
their website with Chase (which DOES NOT direct download). Anyone who values
these direct downloads, might want to contact them and let them know how
valuable this service is to their customers. Their new Chase website is up
and running. It looks great, but it doesn't direct download into Money.

Lori,

As your credit card company, we value your business. It is important to us
that we provide you with timely information regarding your account.

The website www.cardmemberservices.com will still be a valid website for the
next few months. We are in the process of combining our websites to provide
our customers with a unified online experience. We appreciate your
suggestion regarding MS Money direct downloads. At this time the direct
download is not available on www.chase.com.

If you have additional questions, please contact us through e-mail or call
us at the toll-free number noted below. For faster service, please sign in
to your account to send us a secured e-mail. We will be happy to assist you.
For your convenience, we are available 24 hours a day to serve your credit
needs.

Sincerely,

Laura James
