did the denial access to internet via firewall thing but now can't update.
I agree with you...going to change to another program...my 2005 version also
connects with internet on startup without prompting (I think this is the
source of the popup) and must be sending information to MS. No one on this
site seems to know how to stop it and MS support is either clueless or
stalling to maintain some feature they don't want disabled.

Microsoft support.
They were responsive as far as turn around times but they tried to give me a
lesson in pop-ups.
Then wanted the serial number & version number of my Money 2005 package.
That lead to the last reply which was:
Call the Money support team at 966 834-8741.

I have since installed another package and will be uninstalling Money
shortly, For the time being I have stopped the Pop-up by denying Money
access to the net via my firewall. Be interested if you find the answer.

Any help available on how to remove the "buy 2006 Money" popup that appears
during 2005 startup?
I've selected the Turn off sponsorship...box in Program settings.
