| I can recommend Wachovia and AmSouth, with respect to working well with Money. Both are free, for the amounts I have in the bank. I think AmSouth is free, period. Wachovia may have some account minimum requirements to get free online banking, but they're reasonable. I'm satisfied with Wachovia customer service and ATM availability. I use them only for cash accounts. I did have Education IRAs through them and was not satisfied with investment options or expenses. It's not related to my dissatisfaction, but you can only download investment activity by importing an OFX file from a web page link. I'm satisfied with AmSouth customer service but have only been using them for a short while. I opened a HELOC through them for $0 closing costs. I don't expect to move my checking account there because I have no need, and they have far fewer ATMs in my area than does Wachovia. Both work quite well directly with Money, including the ability to send messages to bank customer service. | I like Bank One very much too and have 3 accounts there. BUT just today Chase (Bank One) responded to an e-mail I sent asking if they planned on keeping their FirstUsa / Bank One websites. They informed me that this website would be available for a FEW more months. Their ultimate plan was to merge the new Chase website and the Bank One & FirstUsa websites into one. AND they WERE aware that their Chase website WILL NOT direct download into money. They thanked me for my suggestion to continue direct MS Money downloads. So EVERYONE who uses the First USA / Bank One websites, need to contact them and express the need to continue to direct download into Money. As far as other banks that work well with MS Money, they are: MBNA, Citibank, AT&T(Citi), Searscard-Mastercard (Citi), Discover and Home Depot (believe it or not), Bank of America charges a fee. I have 3 accounts there and it totally frustrates me to have to go to the website daily to get the downloads. Lori "Smitty" wrote: - quote - > Hey guys... | Smitty, BoA charges 9.95/month but currently this fee is waived if you keep 5000.00 in an Advantage checking account. There are other account types and loans that also qualify for the waiver but the Advantage has the lowest balance requirement to get the waiver. Regards, JB Smitty wrote: - quote - > Hey guys... | Bank One integrates well, offers billpay, and is about as inexpensive as it gets. -- Michael Gordon MVP "Smitty" <Smitty[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:54E209E4-BC5E-45DB-9D96-911DD2A6309B[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Hey guys... | Hey guys... I'm trying to pick a bank to setup an account with so that I can seemlessly pay bills and automatically download transactions through Microsoft Money. I know some banks offer this feature and others require you to manually go online and download your transactions into money (What I currently have to do with Washington Mutual and have grown very tired of). From my research it looks like Wells Fargo and B of A offer the service but I'm want to make sure people are really happy with the experience. Anybody really like the bank they are using and find it integrates well with Money? If so, how much is it costing you? Well's Fargo seems to cost $10 a month for the service, US Bank about $6, and I can't figure out how much B of A costs? Any help would be appreciated. |
