| If you want to associate the .qfx extension to OFX files so that Money can import it directly, you can create a .reg file with the following information: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.qfx] "Content Type"="text/qfx" [at]="ofx.Document" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.qfx\ofx.Document] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.qfx\ofx.Document\ShellNew] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-qfx] "Extension"=".qfx" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\text/qfx] "Extension"=".qfx" Note: if you are also using Quicken, this may cause Quicken to faile to import, unless Quicken is registered to import OFX files. -Mark "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:ann4f1t1evre2a1hpet5va0ptaqnmeecod[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, David Graham wrote: > > I must have missed the OFXHEADER:100 when I copied in the file. I had assumed you were doing File-> Import.> there. > I may try what JL posted or just go back to not using it. Yes, if you want to just be able to click on the file, you will need to set up the file associations, or rename the file to *.ofx. |

| I must have missed the OFXHEADER:100 when I copied in the file. It is in there. I may try what JL posted or just go back to not using it. Try adding the following line right before the DATA:OFXSGML line:> I have followed all the instructions on this site, but it will still not > import. > I have tried: > importing the qfx > changing the extension to ofx > removing the <INTU.BID> tag section > pretty much everything else I have seen here > I am using Money 2005. | All I did was save the file to disk and then import it without making any changes ar all. I did have one error, but some one pointed out that the problem I had was also seen in Quicken. I am importing TIAA-CREF QFX files with everything except the TIAA dividends coming in correctly. They however do show up as the balance is off by the amount of the dividend. | David, I had the same problem. The issue was at QFX files was not registered into your Registry database properly. You can 1. Run the Import Program manually. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles\mnyimprt.exe 2. Add the File Type (Folder Option in Explorer), if know how. Action: Open Application Used to Perform Action: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles\mnyimprt.exe" %1 Use DDE: Check DDE Message: (blank) Application: mnyimprt DDE Application Not Running: (blank) Topic: System 3. Completely uninstall Money. Make sure you save you money file first. Reinstall. Hope this help. | My 401k provider just moved to using qfx download instead of a qif download. I have followed all the instructions on this site, but it will still not import. I have tried: importing the qfx changing the extension to ofx removing the <INTU.BID> tag section pretty much everything else I have seen here I am using Money 2005. These are all investment transactions. Has anyone else solved this problem? The following is the first part from the file DATA: OFXSGML VERSION: 102 SECURITY: NONE ENCODING: USASCII CHARSET: 1252 COMPRESSION: NONE OLDFILEUID: NONE NEWFILEUID: NONE <OFX<SIGNONMSGSRSV1<SONRS<STATUS<CODE> 0</CODE<SEVERITY> INFO</SEVERITY</STATUS<DTSERVER> 20050803</DTSERVER<LANGUAGE> ENG</LANGUAGE<FI<ORG> name of providernnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn</ORG<FID> ###</FID</FI<INTU.BID> #####</INTU.BID</SONRS</SIGNONMSGSRSV1 <INVSTMTMSGSRSV1<INVSTMTTRNRS<TRNUID> 0</TRNUID<STATUS<CODE> 0</CODE<SEVERITY> INFO</SEVERITY</STATUS<INVSTMTRS<DTASOF> 20050803</DTASOF<CURDEF> USD</CURDEF<INVACCTFROM<BROKERID> nnnnnnnnnnnnn</BROKERID<ACCTID> nnnnnnn ######/####</ACCTID</INVACCTFROM<INVTRANLIST<DTSTART> 20050705</DTSTART<DTEND> 20050803</DTEND<BUYOTHER<INVBUY<INVTRAN<FITID> ####-##-####################################.############# ####.</FITID<DTTRADE> 20050715</DTTRADE<DTSETTLE> 20050715</DTSETTLE</INVTRAN<SECID<UNIQUEID> #################</UNIQUEID<UNIQUEIDTYPE> OTHER</UNIQUEIDTYPE</SECID<UNITS> 0.######</UNITS<UNITPRICE> ##.######</UNITPRICE<TOTAL> ##.##</TOTAL<SUBACCTSEC> CASH</SUBACCTSEC<SUBACCTFUND> CASH</SUBACCTFUND</INVBUY</BUYOTHER |
