Default Re: Merging accounts? Dangerous?

Thanks gents. I was able to do it without issue. I also took the
insurance - just in case.

The biggest problem is that if you merge the wrong accounts, it can't be
undone. A backup before you do this is cheap insurance, I think.

If you are talking about the MergeDuplicateAccounts on the Account
List, not dangerous. The warning is overblown.

There was one person who said he lost some transactions, but that
was unique. It is always good to keep an backup in case something
happens that you want to undo. But losing your old transactions
that the warning seems to indicate does not seem to happen.

Default Merging accounts? Dangerous?

Anyone have any info on Merging accounts? I thought I would ask before
doing it in case there is some bad karma doing it.

Can't find the 2005/6 FAQ.

Thanks.
