Default Re: Frying upgradepan (M2004) to fire (M2006)

I think that's a Yodlee feature... it just logs in as you on the web page
and lists your accounts. It then tries to download all of them. I don't
remember this feature with Direct Services certainly.

Unfortunately, Citibank didn't say my accounts were closed, it looks like a
normal account when listed until you try to access it. Then it tells you to
call a certain number. You're right though that this is probably a major
headache for many people.

Thanks. That helped.

I wish the file import process did not "rejuvenate" closed accounts. That
seems to cause most of initial problems with on-line setup and duplicate
accounts. ..

Hi Aloke,

Log onto the Citibank web page and dissociate closed accounts

Then:

From Home Page-> Account List-> Manage online services-> Click on Account-> Stop
using online services

This will stop online service will all accounts at Citibank

If there are no transactions in the closed accounts, you can delete the
accounts at this point.

Then Setup Online Services from "Manage online services" to set it back up

Hope this helps...

How does one do that? I am on the Change Account Settings page.

It won't let me delete the Financial institution (saying that a bank name
must be specified for a inline-enabled account).

It won't let me delete the account, saying that I'll have to delete all
accounts at that institution.

So, how do I disable on-line features for a closed account?

Make sure you dissociate the closed accounts with your userid on the web
site or they will reappear again at some point. I logged onto the Citibank
web site and saw my old closed accounts were still associated with me. When
I removed them, then removed and re-established online services with
Citibank, they were not added back in.

Nevermind. The import of M2004 into M2006 re-activated old closed accounts.
That seriously messed up the online update process.

I had to open the closed accounts, disable online services from those, close
them again. Then the downloaded statements got recognized correctly by
M2006.

Default Frying upgradepan (M2004) to fire (M2006)

I installed Money 2006 over Money 2004. I didn't use Passport or MSN, just
regular online downloads from my bank, credit card, and broker. Needless to
say, M2004 updated everything just fine minutes before the upgrade.

Now, I'm having problems with 2 financial institutions:

Fidelity Investments: gives "General Error"

Citi Cards: gives "We are unable to process your request. Please call
customer service at 1-800-347-xxxx"

Are there any tips to making on-line activities work again with these
institutions? Any way to capture the error messages in more detail?

I called Fidelity at the above #, who had no information on M2006. They
transferred me to MS (I'm on hold as I type..)

How do you reset the on-line settings for the institution?

I'm afraid that if I disable and re-enable on-line settings, I'll get all my
transactions downloaded again and duplicated :-(
