For the record, for anyone else searching for help because thei auto-updates are not running on Money 2006, here is how I go auto-updates to work...simply for the sake of covering all bases, I' going to exlain all I did from start to finish, so forgive me if thi is a lengthy post I am running.. Microsoft Money 200 Windows Server 200 My auto-updates were not working - and by auto-updates, I am talkin about transactions being automatically downloaded from the banks tha you've setup under "Manage Online Services". I a not referring to how stock quotes ge downloaded automatically when Money 2006 starts. On my computer, saw that mnybbsvc.exe (Money Background Banking Service) was runnin all the time, regardless if I was using Money or not. I would thin that this process would be sufficient for Background Banking to work but it's not. I went into the Money folder, which is (by default C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2006\MNYCoreFiles, and is also (b default) a system folder, so you cannot see it unless you unchec "Hide protected operating system files" under Folder Options View tab in My Computer/Windows Explorer. In this folder are tw files necessary for Background Banking: mnybbsvc.exe (alread running) and mnybb.exe (never runs on it's own). I decided to star the mnybb.exe process and just see what happens. That was at 9:3 AM yesterday. After running that process, I did an "Update Now" i Money at about 10:30 AM yesterday. I closed Money and just left th computer running with mnybb.exe and mnybbsvc.exe both still running. Today I turned on Money at about 6:30 PM, to check if the account have updated. I went to "Read Call Summary Messages" under th updates menu and, to my disappointment, saw that the time was stil about 10:30 AM. However, to much my surprise, after looking at it second time, I saw that it was 10:35 AM today! So, the updates ran on their own, without my intervention, approximately 24 hours afte my last "manual" update (by manual I mean when I clicked "updat now"). I did check just to be sure, and I indeed had ne transactions downloaded in my credit card and bank accounts So there you have it. I don't know if you need both mnybb.exe an mnybbsvc.exe running for it to work, I don't know if you need t start mnybb.exe and then do a "manual" update in order to start th scheduling process, or what...that's just what I did, and I'm happ that it's now working, on its own, so I don't have to run an updat manually every day, since I've discovered (as many of you may hav as well) that if you go a few days without running updates, it' possible that Yodlee will skip from downloading certain transaction from your bank that are over 2 days old. So hopefully this will fi both problems After hours of searching, I never once found a post, help file knowledge base article, or anything else that explained how to ge auto-updates to work, so I hope this is helpful to any out there Have a good one itzkakaro

Pilar Have you seen any progress in this? I thought about just starting th mnybb.exe process manually and letting it run. Does this chang anything, or are auto-updates still not working? So far I've trie about every other combination of things (minus leaving money runnin all day), and auto-updates still do not run at "random interval throughout the day", despite what all the help files say (and man MVP's for that matter, though since when does MVP mean you know wha you're talking about, but enough about that...) So...any luck? Thanks : itzkakaro

I just upgraded from 05 to 06 Deluxe, and realized the reason background banking never worked was that the mnybb.exe wasn't loaded. Checked all the startup spots, and darn if the mnybb.exe wasn't in the list at all (and of course doesn't show as active in Task Manager). This explains why I haven't had background banking active since Money 04 on my old computer! Now -- do I just add mnybb.exe in HKCU/Software/Microsoft/etc,etc, or in the startup programs folder, and do I have to add any command line parameters? Oh, and what about mnybbsvc.exe? Does that need to be put anywhere? Thanks in advance!
