| Damned if that wasn't it - thanks, Dick. I set up under Advanced Budget, but didn't know about Advanced Bills. I wondered why I couldn't set up a recurring deposit like I had before. Thanks again! | Me again. After a system re-format (virus), I decided to upgrade to Money 2006. I still have some lingering issues with paycheck deposits, as they seem to be handled a bit differently in 2006. Basically, I can't seem to schedule a recurring deposit (for a particular date) anywhere else than adding it as a Budget item. And if I add it as a Budget item occurring every other week, the deposits get entered on Sunday, instead of Friday when they occur. Is there a preferable way to enter paycheck deposits in 2006? Or is there a way to change the logging date? I checked the program help file, and it said to go to Bills, click "New" then "Paycheck". There is no such function... (?!) | Brian, I am rather new, myself to 'Money' and use Money 2004 (It came bundled with my PC). I noticed this (the splitting of an 'every other week' thing) in my cash flow too, however it only seems to occur with items entered in the budget. I entered my payceheck in the 'Scheduled Bills and Deposits' list, and it seems to work ok. Have you tried this? | I am just getting started with Money 2005, and I'm not sure I've got it quite figured out. One thing is bothering me: I have direct deposit on two accounts, which my salary gets split into. I have set both up as taking place "every other week". Thing is, my projected cash flow shows *half* those amounts being placed in my accounts *every week*. This doesn't give me an accurate picture of how much cash I have available at any given time. Is there a setting which makes Cash Flow Forecast show TRUE values, and not amortize them as above? |
