Money 2006 causes misc app hangs, how can I resolve ?

Very good suggestion. I did notice right off when I installed Money that it
seemed to be browser based (makes sense, coming from MS). I have several
utilities that include a popup blocker - I try to only run one of them so
who knows - I may even have more than one running at a time, inadvertently.
I will look more closely at this.

FWIW, I run with Google popupblocker and haven't seen any bad effects with
Money 2004 or 2006.

Check to see what programs you're running with Internet Explorer (by itself).
Popup-stopping programs will paralyze Money (2004 and newer). For example,
Popupcop was crashing Money 2004 here any time I tried to use certain functions
(like the online service logon wizard, or web help). When I manually disabled
Popupcop in MSIE, and then closed and restarted Money, the crashes stopped. When
I re-enabled Popupcop, Money crashed again. There's no way to disable the
program from within Money. Microsoft support explained that Money is like a big
web browser, which is not obvious at all from the online or printed
documentation or support web pages.

That's what I thought I would try. I can understand AV et al cause install
issues, but it installed fine. So having those running during an
(apparently) successful install can cause hangs after the fact ?

AV and Firewall can affect things. Try uninstalling Money, disconnect from
Internet, shutdown AV & Firewall, reinstall Money and reinstall AV &
