Money 2005, not 2006. I tried replacing the 15.0 to 14.0 (which is what Money 2005 appears to use as I saw when I was poking around in regedit) but it still didn't work. I don't think that 2005 has an Online subdirectory of 14.0 in the registry. This information file that would be generated would seem to be really helpful information if I could get it. Thanks again, Ryan |

If you want to investigate what is coming in, while Money 2006 is> PURCHASE TERMIN" on Bank of Hawaii's site it would be followed by AL > (naturally completing the word "terminal) and the name of the merchant, then > the time and some other information. > Is there any way to get Money to ignore the rubbish POS PURCHASE POS > PURCHASE TERMINAL part of each transaction, or otherwise stop it from > truncating off the most important part. open copy the four lines between the equal-sign lines to a file named Provlog6.reg: ================beginProvlog6.reg================= ====== REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Money\15.0\On line] "FLogProviderData"=dword:00000001 ================endProvlog6.reg=================== ==== With Money open, do Start-> Run of Provlog6.reg, or run it in a command window. Then do your update in Money. Then the same folder as your *.mny file, look for *RQ.txt and*.RS.txt files. Examine the *RS.txt with Notepad or other editor. See what is coming in. If the info is pre-truncated, not much you can do with that bank. If the info is there, go to Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> PreferredPayeeNames which shows how downloaded names are translated into Payees. Then click on GoToPayeeRulesManager. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check, deposit). Add "POS PURCHASE POS PURCHASE TERMINAL" or whatever you want ignored. I don't know if it will help otherwise, but it should cause Money to not use that information to identify a payee. |

| Hello, I have an account with Bank of Hawaii which uses a fairly standard Metavante online banking system, also used by American Savings Bank and other banks whose online banking sites look identical (ibanking-services.com as your URL anyone?). I want to use money to track my check card (debit card) transactions and could it would be very helpful to know the name of the merchant where the purchase was made along with the amount (as it shows up on the web). In Microsoft Money, all it shows in the register is "POS PURCHASE POS PURCHASE TERMIN" on Bank of Hawaii's site it would be followed by AL (naturally completing the word "terminal) and the name of the merchant, then the time and some other information. Is there any way to get Money to ignore the rubbish POS PURCHASE POS PURCHASE TERMINAL part of each transaction, or otherwise stop it from truncating off the most important part. Anyone else having this problem? I suspect it's probably a problem with Yodlee, the data aggregator Microsoft partners with, but I'm thinking there might be some setting some where to let me get around it. Very annoying. Quicken doesn't have this problem! Thanks, Ryan ryank808[at]hotmail.com |
