| Export all the accounts individually from Quicken, then import them to Money AS A GROUP by using Ctrl-Click during the import process. Pick the recover option, rather than import bank statement option. Do that in an empty money file. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "rpgraff" <rpgraff[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:54B2A98F-4C4A-4C96-AAB7-E9AF32A88D9F[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I tried the import wizard for the Money 2006 trial edition to get 5 years > worth of data from my quicken 2003 data file and Money had issues with the > file and wouldn't import. > I did find I could export the quicken file as a qif and then import it > into > Money, but there are still some issue: > 1. my expense catagories need to be applied to each transaction again > 2. | I tried the import wizard for the Money 2006 trial edition to get 5 years worth of data from my quicken 2003 data file and Money had issues with the file and wouldn't import. I did find I could export the quicken file as a qif and then import it into Money, but there are still some issue: 1. my expense catagories need to be applied to each transaction again 2. All the transaction are marked with a status of (E) when they all but the most recent should be marked as reconciled (R). If the only way around this is to change each transaction manually, I guess I'll have to do it (5 years = a lot of transactions), but I'm hoping there is something I either did wrong in the export and/or import process that I can redo and correct either or both of these problems. |
