| My understanding is the DRIP does not like scheduled debt. It's really only been useful for accounts like credit cards and lines of credit. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "GlennR" <GlennR[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1D879A99-198B-48F6-8EA8-45166D6B523D[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I manged to get y credit cards added the planner thanks to the forum. > Everything seems to work well including the amounts I want to pay every > month. | I manged to get y credit cards added the planner thanks to the forum. Everything seems to work well including the amounts I want to pay every month. I recently set up my mortgage using the new accounts feature and it seems the amortization schedule is working well like it did with Money 2003. I enter the required information in account wizard (balance, interest rate, P&I, etc.). Money automatically calculates number of payments, interest, etc.). I then go back to change the loan terms to reflect the additional principal payment. Here's where I run into a problem. My monthly payment is calculated to be $1297.50 which is correct. When I go into the debit reduction planner to add my home mortgage, the balance is accurate but it says my minimum payment is $1298.00. When I enter the debt detail for account, to popup says "This is th normal payment amount that was set up when this loan account was created. To change the normal payment amount, click Cancel, and then go to Accounts Details to edit your loan information." Well--when I do that, the account tells me that my monthly payment is $1297.50. Am I missing something? My guess is that you planner likes to use whole numbers and doesn't like to deal with cents. The planner automatically goes to the next dollar. Is this a bug or did MS intentially do this? Thanks. |
