For newer versions of Money, when downloaded as a statement, the QIF> transactions the second time you loaded them. Has this changed? download matches transactions already there. If you import as new or recovered account, there is no matching. |

| I thought QIF imports, unlike OFX imports, would cause duplicate transactions the second time you loaded them. Has this changed? | I found an at least partial solution, FWIW- this may or may not make sense and be helpful. This came about in the midst of a flurry of many different tests, but I think I determined that one precondition was that Money be "unjammed" by some cycle of full repair, delete internet files, and quick repair. Once Money no longer thought there were transactions to review which were not visible: I manually edited the downloaded QIF file and deleted the few transactions which had already previously been imported (before the Money upgrade). With only new transactions, the import worked just like usual. Maybe the problem was that there were transactions which were already in the register.?. But I'm pretty sure I have done something similar many times before with no problems (ie Money sees that it already has the transaction and ignores the new copy of it). Cheers, Noah |

| I had tried this, and tried it again now. It and all other possible view settings have no effect. | Have you scrolled up through the register to see if they were imported higher in the list? It may be that the QIF data is incorrect (e.g. wrong dates). -Mark "Noah Smith" <noah[at]mail.utexas.edu> wrote in message news:dbm2an$5et$1[at]geraldo.cc.utexas.edu... - quote - > > When you click where it says "transactions to read: 21", what > > happens? > The window switches to the account register of the credit proper credit card > account. The window switches to the account register of the credit proper credit card> happens? account. On the left side of the screen there is the message: Downloaded: Date: Not Available Balance: Not Available Items to review (21) View: is set to All transactions sort by date. I see all of the transactions I imported up till the upgrade to Money 2006 (the last transaction is 7/5/2005). The transactions since then, those in QIF file I'm importing, are not visible. Thanks in advance, Noah |

To start from scratch, I downloaded another new QIF file and imported it. There has been one transaction since the previous attempt on Sunday, so the message is now that there are 21 transaction to review. But again, they are not visible in the account. So I'm back where I started, but with one more invisible transaction. I the did another QuickFileRepair but it did not result in any apparent change. Thanks in advance, Noah |

| Hello, after upgrading to Money 2006, when I manually import a QIF file containing my credit card statement, the import dialog box proceeds normally and the account register shows the cradit card account has 20 transactions to review- but when I open the credit card account to review them they are not visible. This procedure worked fine before the upgrade (Money 2004). I have already repaired the Money file twice. Thanks in advance, Noah |
