Default Re: Money 2005 Dlx vs. 2006 Dlx.

I got premium for $20 (costco) and feel that it is WELL worth that price to
upgrade from 2005 Dlx.

The major things I have noticed are:

(1) No more duplicate downloads of Yodlee accounts (worth $20 itself to
me!).
(2) Much faster than 2005 for me (17MB file on an AMD 64 w 2GB ram that was
a dog for 2005)
(3) The "Updates in progress" window now hides if you check the box (bug).
(4) Some of the Yodlee matching is better than 2005 so far.
(5) Very Nice backup file enhancements - muli-version capability, CD etc.

Try the thread by John Siegel on 14th July "M2006 SBE First Impressions".
Also "Money 2006 - More observations" posted by Jim also on 14th.

There's a comprehensive archive of this newsgroup is available at

specify newsgroup "microsoft.public.money" and some search terms you
consider appropriate like "2006"!

Thanks, looked through the posts and couldn't find anything specific.
Biggest question I have is if the budgeting feature changed. Not sure how to
describe it, but the way Quicken allowed user to set up budgets (spreadsheet
format) was much simpler. Has this feature been changed?

Default Money 2005 Dlx vs. 2006 Dlx.

Trying to see if the upgrade from 2005 deluxe to 2006 deluxe is worth it.
