Mark,

Thanks for your reply.

I added those sites in my Trusted Zone. However that did not resolve the
problem.

Have you been able to recreate this issue in Money?

What I've done as a workaround was to keep IE's Internet Zone setting on
High with "Run ActiveX controls and plug ins" set to prompt.

The whole Portfolio Review issue is no big deal by any means but I would
like to be able to keep my security settings on the highest possible setting
and still be able to run Money. You shouldn't have to lower your security
to run Money. That's just wrong.

I would suggest adding the following to Trusted Sites:

*.msn.com (or moneycentral.msn.com and g.msn.com)
*.microsoft.com ( or download.microsoft.com since this is where Money would
get any updates)
*.passport.com and *.passport.net (if using Passport)

I avoid that page, but I just tried it after opening the sample
file. I saw a brief flash of a pop-up because a program I run called
PTFB dismisses popups I don't want to be bothered by. Disabling PTFB
I see I am getting the same pop-up as you are. I like PTFB. It is
one of a very select number of icons in my tray.

I do get numbers on that page after dismissing the pop-up, so I
don't know if there would be anything else there if the pop-up did
not occur.

I don't have that one either; it just hit me as odd. I do have
*.moneycentral.msn.com, *.cnbconmsn.com , g.msn.com. But since I do
get the pop-up anyway, that info is not that relevant.

Yes, in the non-humorous sense. That page creeps me out anyway.

Cal,

Have you been able to replicate the issue I'm having with the Portfolio
Review Page?

I tried adding cnbconmsn.org to the Trusted Zone...no effect. I've since
removed it.

From the Investing Home page in Money, I right clicked Portfolio Review,
copied the shortcut "money://navigate/invanalysis", added THAT to the
Trusted Zone...still no effect.

I imagine that Money and IE share some underlying code that wont allow the
Portfolio Review page to display properly as long as I have ActiveX disabled
in IE's Internet Zone.

I could set ActiveX to prompt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Seems ironic that you have to lower your security level in order for your
financial program to run properly.

netstat can be useful to tell who is being accessed.

Hmmmm... cnbconmsn.org ... a non-profit?

Default Portfolio Review 2006

Dear NG:

Win XP SP2
Money 2006 Premium
IE Internet Zone settings on High.
IE Trusted Zone settings on Medium.

When I select Portfolio Review I get a message that "Your current security
settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the
page may not display correctly."

When I click OK the page loads properly minus any graphs.

Lowering IE Internet Zone to Medium, the page loads with the graphs with no
warning message.

I was wondering if there is some way to add this page to my IE Trusted Zone
so that the graphs load and I would no longer receive the warning message.

Lowering the IE Internet Zone permanently is NOT an option.

Thanks in advance.

-Kevin
